Environmental and Energy Policy

As Ulusoy Elektrik, we consider the environment as a trust of future generations to us, and we consider it a principle to prevent and minimize the environmental risks that may arise as a result of our activities in order to protect this trust in the best possible way. All our employees and also all the people working on behalf of our company are responsible for protecting the environment, supporting, assisting and continuously improving the Environmental Management System and Energy Efficiency practices.

As a company, our primary goal is to ensure continuous improvement by setting targets that will prevent environmental risks, ensure the economic use of natural resources , ensure the most efficient use of energy and water , produce minimum waste, do not compromise product quality, consider employee health, and regularly review these targets, to provide a healthy, clean and livable environment. We measure and review our progress towards achieving our goals and do not avoid public announcement of the progress.

Our long-term goal is to be considered as one of the most responsible companies in the eyes of our stakeholders and business partners, with a proactive and innovative approach to environmental protection, with the participation of all our employees, to ensure that our activities are sustainable in the long term.

To achieve this goal, Ulusoy Elektrik commits to;

• Comply with the relevant Environmental and Energy Management System Standards, Legal Legislation and other compliance obligations,
• Comply with the Policies and Objectives published by the Eaton group of companies that we are part of, on Environment and Energy
• Use long-lasting, multi-purpose and reusable tools, materials and resources in all production processes,
• Conserve natural resources and use them in the most efficient way and prevent waste,
• Establish the necessary infrastructure to reduce waste at its source and recycle the generated wastes in the most correct and environmentally friendly way and carry out the works,
• Use energy efficiently and reduce the negative effects of our activities on the environment,
• Control and reduce potential environmental impacts from the design stage to the end of the life cycle,
• Identify and reduce risks for environmental emergencies,
• Contribute to continuous development by creating goals and objectives within the scope of Environment and Energy Management,
• Increase the environmental responsibility awareness in all our employees and also in all people working on behalf of our company by providing periodic trainings on environmental awareness and efficient use of energy,
• Provide the necessary human resources, technology and financial resources to improve the contribution of all interested parties to environmental management,
• Avoid activities that have a negative impact on climate change, biodiversity and ecosystem,
• Control and minimize Environmental Factors related to new products to be produced in the future or new processes and activities to be developed,
• Protect the environment and improve environmental performance by following the scientific researches, energy efficient technologies and applications, developments,
• Keep the protection of environment and human health on the foreground,
• Conduct energy efficiency projects and engage in activities that will increase the use of renewable energy sources to reduce greenhouse gases from production activities,
• Communicate with all stakeholders and share information when necessary,
• Work in compliance with the published Health and Safety Policy.
